Ge.meni Vehicle (2000)

DESCRIPTION: A lightweight off-road vehicle.

CLIENT: (classified).

CONCEPT: A lightweight frame with double wishbone suspension system adjustable for stiffness, and geared hubs gives this vehicle high obstacle clearance, and steep approach, departure, and breakover angles. The stiffness adjustability in the suspension system allows the vehicle to perform well at high speeds with deep play in the vertical travel, and at slow speeds for rock crawling. The lightweight frame has the minimalist structural stiffness of a sandrail, with plug-in body parts.

DESIGN TEAM: Frame, suspension system design, power train design by A. Scott Howe.

COST: None estimated.

DATE: 2000.
